The project “Spot a Star” is an initiative put together for the Rivers State Conference for Sustainable Development (RSCSD). The project is intended to use the art of music to communicate the challenges society faces in the value and character of leadership and followership. The project is promoted by Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA), with idea and management provided by Southernfield Development Partners (SFDP).
GOAL
To use the art of music, comedy and dance as a medium for societal re-orientation (Particular values and character for leadership and followership) towards sustainable development of rural communities in Rivers State.
STRATEGY
Participants will be pre-qualified through the following process;
- Quality of lyrics and its composition.
- Voice and melody clarity.
- Proper interpretation of “rural transformation” in the song
HOW TO PARTICIPATE & WIN
The following will take place after the purchase of this form with a non refundable fee of one thousand naira only (=N=1000).
- First category screening of participants will be conducted at a given time and place.
- Fifteen finalists will record demos at our provided studio.
- The best ten will move on to the final event of the competition that will take place at the Alfred Diete-Spiff Sports Complex, on the 17th of October 2008.
- The best three will be picked as winners respectively.
- All entries should be submitted on or before the 14th of October.
