Achievements of Exhibition
The exhibition was designed and organized to create productive and practical opportunities for direct engagement and interactions between the communities and providers or proprietary owners of customised products, services, skill, technologies, rural infrastructure and other innovative initiatives. This was achieved as communities
- Identified useful resources that support economic transformation
- Identified innovations, products, services and skill that add value to community resources
- Identified exhibitors that are capable of partnerships with communities to give value to their natural and human potentials
- Created an appropriate environment of engagement and incentives for exhibitors and community participants to take advantage of during the exhibitions
Nature of the exhibition:
- Exhibitors were invited to secure and seek out given spaces at the exhibition ground to demonstrate approved products, services, skills and technology
- Communities and public were given free access into the exhibition ground to interact with exhibitors for the purposes of developing linkages, experience sharing and the garnering of knowledge with a view to prepare communities, local businesses, or aspiring entrepreneurs/ jobseekers in their march towards self and community advancement as provided for in the framework and plan of the RSSDA and other partners in the rural development process.
- The exhibition ground was well laid out in an organized structure and a colourful manner to facilitate high level interactive engagement.
- The number of successful partnerships, linkages and new businesses developed during the exhibition will be tracked and followed up.

3. Setting up and dismantling of Stands
Criteria used in the Exhibitions
- Services, products, skills, ideas technology, business innovation etc, for exhibitions were such that supported and were capable of adding value to rural communities resources
- Exhibitors provided full disclosures on proposed exhibition stating:
- The idea, product Service etc
- The area among the ten categories for exhibition within which it falls
- Technical review of products for exhibition
- Inputs required and how much can be sourced from rural areas
- Economic and others benefit to communities
- Support system to community based users
- Adaptability and customization plan/process to communities
- Any incentives provided to communities or expected from promoters
- Exhibitions met responsible sustainability standards
- Exhibitions were technically feasible and with strong or potential local content ( Community content)
- Exhibitions were within economic/financial scope of rural communities and had supporting plan for extended scope
- Where exhibition was to generate business or job/skills potential income projections were proposed
- The level of training required by community users were stated
- Start up financial needs for potential community user where applicable were also stated
- Value adding propositions to community needs for potential exhibitions were espoused
Participation Incentives for Exhibitors
Exhibitors who were able to customize their services and products to community needs, maximized use of community resources, achieve sustainability, technical simplicity and are within the financial scope of community will be supported by Government of Rivers State through the RSSDA and its development Partners to be technical partners to and mentors of communities that chose to work with them.
Facilities
Exhibitors who required tables and chairs and requested in advance of the exhibition were provided at our discretion and according to availability. Exhibitors received badges for registered staff, an event brochure and relevant information about exhibition, including security and cleaning.
Allocation of Stands
This was guided by the nature of the exhibits and on first come first served basis.
Cleaning and Security
Southernfield Development Partners took all reasonable security precautions in the interest of exhibitors.
Southern Field Development Partners provided general cleaning services at the venue. However, exhibitors were expected to keep stands clean and tidy throughout the Exhibition programme.
